The goal of Pocket Tanks is to use various weapons to attack the other player's tank. Each hit scores a certain number of points, which varies based on the weapon and the proximity of the target. At the end of 10 volleys, the player with the highest score wins.

Pocket Tanks features a fully destructible environment, which allows the player to create and put themselves on pedestals or in bunkers, allowing for more strategic gameplay. Pocket Tanks also supports weapon expansion packs where each player can have up to 325 different weapons in total.

The game features extra game content in the form of expansion "weapon packs" which give the player more weapon choices during gameplay, available to those who own Pocket Tanks Deluxe. In the PC version, there are 30 Expansion Packs available to download. All packs that include 5 weapons are available for free, and 15 weapons that have to be paid for (mobile versions only). There are 325 weapons in total: 30 from the original game and 295 from the Deluxe Version.

Michael P. Welch from Blitwise Productions created Amiga games before he started developing PC games such as Super DX-Ball and Neon Wars. Welch developed Pocket Tanks as remake/sequel of the Amiga game Scorched Tanks and extended the gameplay with modified physics, dozens of new weapons (hundreds with a paid expansion), and the ability to move the tank. The game's soundtrack was created by Eliran Ben Ishai as Impulse Tracker Module file.[1] The first version of Pocket Tanks was released in 2001.

On April 15, 2009, Pocket Tanks was released on iOS. This version included a new touch interface and 35 weapons to enjoy for free. The iOS version continues to be updated along with other mobile versions that were released later.

As of 2022, there are 325 weapons to collect on the desktop version, which can be obtained by purchasing all of the expansion packs. This version is available for MacOS and the Windows Desktop. The mobile version is expanded to 375 weapons.

Bosses help each other, use all available weapons, and are hostile to everyone: players of any faction, Scavs, and Raiders. They don't communicate with the rest of the bosses and Fence, so they attack any enemy immediately. Killing them does not affect the player's reputation.

The fastest game of artillery you'll ever play. Pocket Tanks is designed to be easy to learn, and fun to master. All the excitement of lobbing projectiles over a mound of dirt without all the complicated details found in most artillery games. Select your angle, power, and fire over 30 distinct weapons at your opponent. There is an innovative Weapon Shop to keep the game moving fast and a Target Practice mode for experimenting with all the weapons "no holds barred!"

The reconstructed Grievous became a skilled lightsaber duelist under Dooku's guidance, who trained the Kaleesh in the arts of lightsaber combat and eventually welcomed him into a position as a warrior in the Confederacy. Shortly after the advent of the Clone Wars, Grievous was granted the rank of general, as well as the title of Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies, making him one of the most powerful people within the Separatist Alliance, second only to his master Dooku. Grievous wielded his skills as a brilliant military strategist and melee combatant during numerous campaigns against the Republic throughout the Clone Wars while also gaining a reputation for hunting and killing Jedi Knights. He made a habit of claiming the lightsabers of defeated Jedi as trophies and weapons to be used against other opponents. His position and threat level led to his preeminence as one of the Republic's primary targets throughout the course of the war. As the war played out, Grievous found a personal nemesis in Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, whom he dueled on numerous occasions.

As he matured, Sheelal,[6] a warrior who developed many enemies,[7] began to be regarded as a legendary figure by his people and had also begun to harbor a disdain for the Galactic Republic.[6] Sheelal experienced a rapid rise in rank[11] and became a feared warrior[14] and warlord,[15] having learned battle tactics and warfare during the Kaleesh-Yam'rii war.[16] Shrouded in the cloak and head wraps customary of his people,[17] the proud Kaleesh warrior[18] used weaponry like a curved sword and an elongated curved shield in battle.[17] Sheelal became one of the greatest military leaders of his people.[19] He bore the capacity to excite, motivate, and lead his fellow Kaleesh warriors[6] using his ruthless and uncompromising tactics[11] in the merciless war against the Yam'rii.[16] He developed a habit of collecting the weapons of his defeated enemies[13] and, like others of his species, became known for his lack of mercy[20] and obsession with the glory gathered in war, valuing bravery in combat above all else.[11] Rightfully, the infamous Kaleesh warrior earned a bloody reputation among his people and others,[13] and eventually took up the moniker "Grievous".[8] For years, he continued to wage war against the invading Yam'rii,[13] traveling[15] and fighting alongside a team of personal bodyguards known as the Izvoshra. Seemingly always alongside their warlord leader,[8] the Izvoshra shared in his victories and his love of battle alike.[9]

The General was given a new weapon by Dooku, a lightsaber that belonged to a long-dead friend of the former Jedi. Grievous continued to add other weapons to the collection he had started when he was still a warlord on Kalee.[13] Furious that his body had been entirely replaced with that of the droids he hated, Grievous slaughtered all the guards present upon his resurrection.[8] Grievous, despite his disgust with his cyborg body, reluctantly accepted the position of supreme commander of the Separatists' droid armies.[6] He'd spent hours watching holovids of Jedi in combat and reading every training manual Dooku could supply him with[35] before being chosen[7] for training in lightsaber combat.[14] Grievous' improved training by Dooku made him even more lethal,[6] thanks to the cybernetic implants in his brain allowing him access to heuristic combat programming.[28] He was a voracious learner when it came to dealing with death and viewed the different saber styles as just another aspect of warfare to be learned.[35] Grievous had mastered many of the classic forms of Jedi arts.[14]

At one point, Grievous attacked the frozen moon Caliban, destroying a bridge in the process. He also captured Jedi General Kenobi and Clone Marshal Commander CC-2224 "Cody," along with their squad of clone troopers and ordered them to rebuild the bridge, to allow him to freely move weapons and battle droids across the moon. Kenobi, however, answered that he and the clones would not have to work for Grievous, since according to the Galactic Accord of Systems, no war prisoner could be forced into manual labor. The Separatist general smacked Kenobi to the ground and threatened him with death if he would not follow his orders.[75]

Near the end of the war, a large Kyber Crystal was discovered. Torul Blom, the Governor of Pau City, began negotiations with Count Dooku. With the help of Sugi weapons dealer, he wanted to sell him the crystal.[129] Grievous was sent by Dooku to acquire a massive kyber crystal from Sugi arms dealers led by Endente. The deal was to take place on the planet Utapau,[130] with local Amani being used as bodyguards. At least two Magnaguards were present in the early days of the event,[131] and more of them, as well as other droids, arrived later with Grievous.[128] The Jedi Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi learned of the arms deal when they came to the planet to investigate the mysterious death of Jedi Master Tu-Anh.[131] They tracked down the crystal and stole it from those who were trafficking in it. Enraged by Endente's failure, the cyborg decapitated Endente for not having the crystal in his possession.[128] With the help of Governor Blom, Grievous recovered the crystal from the Jedi and stowed it aboard his ship, but before leaving, he stabbed Torul Blom with a lightsaber to mock his apology and admission of error.[132] They, however, continued their mission, following the crystal[128] to the space above Utapau.[132]

One of his battle droids came forward with the Jedi lightsabers. Grievous weighed them as he took them in his metal claw.[3] Every Jedi crafted their lightsaber to be both a weapon and a work of art that was perfect reflection of the builder alone. Examining it carefully can give him a lot of information, but Grievous has time to work on it later. Grievous turned to his prisoners, rising to his full height. He has extended his mechanical legs to control most living beings and joys in looking down on them, reading the horror in the eyes of those who meet him, when they see his expressionless face and wonder what deadly weapons are hiding under his long cloak. Yet, for the time being, the two Jedi are unimpressed. But it will not last.[160] Still unaware that Dooku had been killed, Grievous was overjoyed to have captured his old adversary Kenobi and finally meet the legendary Skywalker.[155] The cyborg personally taunted them, making a caustic comment about Skywalker's youth given his reputation. Skywalker reacted with a remark about the General being shorter than expected.[3] He swept back his cape, showing the lightsabers hidden inside, and added Obi-Wan and Anakin's lightsabers to his collection.[3]

Grievous was very fast as he was able to use his cybernetics to crawl on the ground and make a quick escape if he needed to.[125] The cyborg's limbs allowed him to climb onto the roof, so even when his legs were severed, he was still able to escape.[17] He even dodged refracted beams from a giant kyber crystal that had been blasted numerous times by Obi-Wan, forcing it to overload.[132] Not only was he fast, but he also had enhanced strength[125] as he utilized his four arms[89] or two arms, in hand-to-hand combat,[3] fighting in a unique style[64] with his bare hands, lifting, throwing, smashing, and choking his opponents.[3] Additionally, he kicks,[3] grabs, and throws his opponents, crushing them under his feet,[125] using his powerful magnetized claws.[3] His durasteel feet were magnetized and so sharp that they were effectively talons,[5] allowing him to climb walls and ceilings with ease,[13] even seize weapons like an electro-staff, which he could then transfer to his hand.[3] He was capable of lifting a varactyl off his body,[128] and pushing his way through and crushing the armor and skulls of Mandalorian soldiers with his bare hands and feet.[142] 041b061a72
